Mama Style: Nibbling Jewellery

It’s safe to say that in the (almost) 3 years that I have been a mum, my style has totally changed. If you were to look back at old photos, you’d see that I was always wearing dangly earrings, pretty necklaces and funky bracelets. As any mum knows, costume and fine jewellery become a no-no once you have babies, because babies like to pull and tug and chew on pretty, dangly things. Well, not any more! With Nibbling’s fabulous range of baby-safe jewellery I no longer need to compromise. I can wear fashionable jewellery and it is safe for my baby to play with!

Nibbling is a new brand of baby-safe jewellery designed right here in London. The range includes bracelets, necklaces, teethers and dummy clips, all made with 100% silicone which means they are perfectly safe for little ones. The jewellery is available in a huge range of shapes and gorgeous colours, and the soft silicone beads are ideal for babies to hold, chew and play with. All of Nibbling’s jewellery is free from BPA, phthalates, and heavy metals. They’re also dishwasher safe, and can be popped in a steam steriliser.

I was sent a Nibbling Victoria teething necklace* in navy, which happens to be my favourite colour to wear! The necklace is made of fifty identical round silicone beads and is held together with a clasp that comes apart when tugged. It is the perfect finishing touch to many of my outfits, making me look and feel that little bit more “done”. It can be worn alone or mixed and matched with other jewellery in the range. I love it as it is, I think it is a classic look.

As Nibbling jewellery is completely safe for little ones to chew on it is perfect for Baby J who is teething at the moment. The soft beads are giving his poorly gums some blessed relief! It is also an ideal fiddle necklace for when he is nursing. We have reached that fidgety, fussy, let-me-pull-your-hair-and-put-my-fingers-up-your-nose stage of breastfeeding so the necklace is a great distraction and keeps him focused on the task at hand!
