Happy Days: A 4th Birthday, Catching Up & A New Wardrobe

Welcome to Happy Days!  Katy and I host this linky with the purpose of inspiring you to make the most of each day, no matter what you've been up to, and to find happiness in every day. It's where I share the little moments that have brought me joy.

Sorry to be boring by talking about the weather, but hasn't it been chilly this week? I've even read predictions of snow this weekend - I really hope that's not true!

Here's what has made me happy this week

• Little N turned 4! I can't believe I have a four year old. It's such a cliché but these past four years have totally flown by. I am so proud of the amazing young boy he has turned out to be. He had a quiet day, no party this year but still had a fabulous cake, plenty of presents and a whole heap of love!

• Pretty flowers. I love the little flower stall in the market. I picked up these gorgeous pale pink flowers for just 50p! I have no idea what they are called, but they are like big, floppy, flamboyant daisies. They remind me a bit of paper pom poms.

• Bargain reads. I take the boys to the library every week to get new books and our library also has magazines to borrow. Once the new magazines come in they sell the old ones for 50p but this week they were selling everything half price! I got a copy of Mollie Makes, Simply Crochet and Essentials for 75p!

• Feeling better. I've finally turned a corner with my asthma and have been making good progress this week.

• Catching up. I nabbed Katy after the school run on Thursday and invited her along for a coffee and breakfast with our littler kids. Although we live really close and talk online almost every day we hadn't had a proper face to face catch up in months!

• New clothes. I've got some gorgeous pieces of maternity wear from Jojo Maman Bebe which arrived yesterday, I can't wait to try them on and show you. I also picked up a fabulous dress from the sale in New Look with some vouchers that I had. It's not maternity but the cut of it will work well with a bump I think.

What are you up to this weekend? I am taking the boys to see Finding Dory this morning then maybe for ice cream after!
