Planning A Despicable Me Minions Birthday Party

Little N turns 3 in November and this year he has his heart set on a Despicable Me Minions themed birthday party. He has been to a few of his friends’ birthday parties recently and he now fully understands what a birthday is – unlike previous years! He loves anything that has Minions on it and has repeatedly said he wants a Minion birthday party, so that is what he’ll get!

I feel like I am juggling plates at the moment with everything I have going on so to make life easier we have got one of these Despicable Me Minions Party Packs* from Party Bags & Supplies. The Despicable Me Minions Party Pack is a convenient, ready-made pack containing everything you need for a party for 8 people. The packs cost £28.00 and for that price you get 8 cups, 8 plates, 20 napkins & 1 table cover and 8 pre-filled party bags. The pack arrived quickly with everything neatly packaged and well-organised. The tableware is of great quality and very durable so fingers crossed it will all last with a room full of rampaging 3 year olds!

The party bags contain 1 Minions blowout, 1 Minions sticker strip, 1 mini touchable bubbles and a pack of popping candy. That is plenty to keep any 3 year old happy but there is room to add more if you want, which I’m probably going to do, although I haven’t figured out what yet! Little N loves those plastic wiggly snakes he often gets in his party bag from his friends’ birthdays, but it’s not exactly Minion related. I’m thinking that a small Minion toy of some sort would be a good thing to add. If you’ve got any ideas let me know!

I’m under strict orders to produce a Minion birthday cake. I usually make birthday cakes myself but I think that a Minions one may be a step too far for my rudimentary baking skills! Minion cupcakes I am sure I can do though. I’m planning to do a few little party games included “Pin the Eye on the Minion” featuring a big picture of Stuart (I think Stuart is the one-eyed one?!) and a Minion piƱata. There will be Minion balloons – either yellow balloons decorated by me if I have the time, or plain yellow and blue balloons if I don’t.

As you can tell I’m getting a little carried away with ideas I’ve found on Pinterest! If you’re planning a Minion themed birthday party then follow my Pinterest board below for ideas and inspiration, and don’t forget to come back next month to find out how Little N’s party went!

Did your child have a birthday party this year? What was the theme?

Disclosure: The party pack was sent for review however all thoughts and opinion are my own.

  1. Wow! This minion birthday party was splendid. I loved each and everything in this party. I used to arrange such parties when I started my career as an event planner but now I work only on the corporate events. Actually now I have started my own corporate event management firm.
