REVIEW: Peau Naturelle Anti-Blemish Facial Oil

Peau Naturelle is a new skincare brand offering natural and organic skincare products which don't cost the earth. Handmade by a small business in Solihull, Peau Naturelle has created a range which is certified by the Organic Soil Association, suitable for vegans, not tested on animals AND won’t make your bank manager weep. For the last few weeks I have been putting their Organic Anti-Blemish Facial Oil* to the test.

peau naturelle oil review

Usually, my skin type is normal/combination. But lately, as you’ll know from my previous moans, I’ve been having quite a few hormonal breakouts which make me totally miserable. I love facial oils and was keen to try the Peau Naturelle Organic Anti-Blemish Facial Oil as I hoped it would help settle my skin down.

The facial oil is made with just five ingredients which are all 100% natural and organic. They have been especially selected for their unique beneficial properties. Grapeseed oil - one of my favourites - is a light oil rich in vitamin E and fatty acids. Jojoba oil is perfect for hydrating the skin and is also packed with vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E, and more fatty acids. Lavender oil is renowned for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, so it is ideal for preventing blemishes.  Tea tree oil is a popular choice in products for spotty skin types as it is naturally anti-bacterial. And finally, lemon oil which has natural antimicrobial properties and smells fantastic.

The oil is very light in consistency and a few drops goes a long way. I’ve been using this oil at night time so it can work on my skin while I sleep. It is easily absorbed without leaving any tacky feeling on my skin and is hydrating enough that I haven’t felt the need to use a night cream with it. The scent of the lavender, tea tree and lemon oils is pleasant and soothing.

I was thrilled to notice an improvement in the condition of my skin from the very first use. The areas of my skin that had been having breakouts looked much calmer and as I continued to use the oil over the next few weeks my skin steadily improved. My skin is far from perfect, but Peau Naturelle Organic Anti-Blemish Facial Oil has made a huge difference.

You can get the oil directly from the Peau Naturelle site. It costs just £9.99 for a 30ml which is incredibly good value for money. You can get similar oils from bigger brands which are at least double the price!

Do you use facial oils? Which one is your favourite?

  1. I had a facial oil sent to me for review earlier this year that did not suit me at all and put me off the idea of nighttime oils completely but this one sounds nice. I might just have to try it out.
