Review: Fisher-Price Learn With Me Zebra Walker

Fisher-Price is one of my most loved brands of toys as they are so bold, bright and lots of fun, and the children also learn through playing with them. J adores playing with ride-on and push-along toys, his face absolutely lit up with joy when his new Fisher-Price Zebra Walker arrived. He has been tearing about the house like a tiny boy racer ever since! With two ways to play, it's a great toy for babies right through to preschool age with heaps of hands-on activities to enjoy.

The Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker is designed for children aged from 6 months through to 3 years. It has two ways to play: Sit & Play with lots of hands on activities to play with and explore, and Stand & Walk for encouraging first steps and confident walking. It's a classic walker shape with four sturdy wheels and chunky handle for pushing and the front of the zebra has lots of fun things to play with. It doesn't come assembled, but only took me a few minutes to follow the instructions and put it together with a screwdriver.

There are so many things to fiddle with on this walker that J actually prefers to sit and play with his. There are big light up buttons, a dial to turn, a book page to flip, a ball to spin and a switch to flick. It teaches ABCs, 123s, sings songs and says phrases to encourage him to walk and play. The colours are bright and would be great for grabbing the attention of younger babies, whilst older toddlers can learn about the colours, letters, animals and numbers. He really loves the little dial which reveals hidden insects and animals, and turning the book page to listen to the ABC song is another favourite activity.

As a baby walker it's really sturdy and the wide wheel base provides lots of support and stability for the wobbliest of first steps and the easy-grip handle helps to keep J's balance as he goes tearing along. The walker plays music as he pushes it which just encourages him to keep going! It would be perfect for a little one who is just learning to walk as it's so exciting.

The Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker requires two AA batteries which aren't included so that's something to remember. You can find this baby walker in stores now priced at £29.99.

How old was your baby when they started to walk?

  1. I've not seen this one before Blake has the Vtech walker. He's 15 months but not yet walking but able to with support though.

  2. My son had just turned a year when he walked but my daughter is 8 months and already stable on her feet so think she'll be an early one. I'm not giving her a walker yet add I don't want to encourage her!

  3. a walker is a must! This looks like there is a lot to keep them entertained. My daughter walked properly at 16 months but my son at 12 months - they can vary so much!
