Happy Days: Love Bombs & Family Time

Welcome to Happy Days!  Katy and I host this linky with the purpose of inspiring you to make the most of each day, no matter what you've been up to, and to find happiness in every day. It's where I share the little moments that have brought me joy.

I'm back! I didn't post last week as I'd had a totally miserable week and couldn't think of anything positive to say. I'm sure we have all had times like that. This week has been better and I'm looking forward to sharing and reading all of your posts. Remember, any happy post can be linked up - it doesn't have to be a gratitude list like Katy and I do.

Here's what has made me happy recently

• Love bombing Little N. I realised that everything that was going on was affecting my relationship with Little N, and I never have any one on one time with him, so we went out for a few hours. Just the two of us. We went for ice-cream, bought a new Hot Wheels set with his Christmas money and had a lovely time just chatting and wandering together.

• Eating out. I LOVE food, I'd go as far as to say eating is a hobby! We had a lovely meal out, Ian, the boys and I. We just went to the local Zizzi's as we knew the boys would be happy. They do a fantastic vegan menu and even have a vegan pudding - and it's not sorbet!

• J's speech. It is really coming on now and he's putting together lots of two-word sentences like "talk dada" when I'm on the phone go Ian or "dat mine" when he is bickering with his brother! It's so cute but at the same time I realise he's just not my baby anymore.

•Swimming. Little N is ready for his first badge - only if he can wear his goggles next time though. Fingers crossed he wears them!

What are your weekend plans? I'm going out tonight to celebrate my friend's 30th!

  2. aww it sounds like the kids are coming on leaps and bounds. Its lovely that you got some one on one time with N. always horrible when you realise you feel like you've not been giving them the full attention deserved. I'm sure in years to come it will be a special memory that will be treasured. #happydayslinky

  4. Sounds like it's been a week of achievements, and some really lovely moments having yummy food and one on one time. I really hope to manage that once Baby #2 comes, but I've no idea how we'll pull it off! Just another thing to think about I guess.

  14. Sorry you had a difficult week last week. As you say, we have all been there - I know I have! It's so nice to have one on one time isn't it? I am trying to do this with Little M more too. It's so hard when you are juggling everything isn't it, but totally worth it whenever you can. Also love the idea of Love Bombing! Might have to nick that phrase - he he! xx
