Happy Days: New Friends, Busy Diary

Welcome to Happy Days!  Katy and I host this linky with the purpose of inspiring you to make the most of each day, no matter what you've been up to, and to find happiness in every day. It's where I share the little moments that have brought me joy.

Here's what has made me happy this week

• Little N licked vegetables! And rhubarb pie! You guys, this is a massive deal, as he hasn't eaten fruit of vegetables since he was one. At his nursery they took a trip to the market to buy vegetables from a book they're reading, which is called Oliver's Vegetables and is about a boy who thinks he doesn't like vegetables. When the teacher told me yesterday that he had licked some I was in total shock!

• New friends. Little N has become really good friends with a few of the children from nursery school and I've gotten to know their mums. We all went to the play cafe after school one day as it was one of the boy's birthday. It was so lovely!

• Getting the garden ready for autumn and winter. I've got pansies ready for my hanging basket and I've been working on the lawn with the help of my Nanna. Fingers crossed the grass seed I've put down will grow!

• New dresses. I love wearing dresses, tights and boots during autumn and winter, I'd wear them all year round if I could! I got some new ones recently which I shared here along with my tips for transitioning from summer to autumn fashion.

• Chilling out at the play cafe with JJ. I'm really loving the time I get to spend with him while N is at nursery. He is such a joyous child.

• A busy social life! I'm going to the cinema this weekend to see Bridget Jones with friends, Little N has a birthday party to go to, and we have lots of other birthday parties and a baby shower coming up next month!

What are you up to this weekend?

  7. Hurrah for vegetables! Mine was such a fantastic eater of them until he turned two, now the only one he'll touch is peas! Sounds like maybe I should get that book! I've bought some lovely new dresses too, wore one for the first time yesterday and it's fab - really colourful! Hope Bridget Jones was good - I'm not sure I'll get a chance to see it as my mum and my sister have both gone with other people and we were planning to go together - boo!

  8. Great week. My daughter won't touch fruit or veg either so I understand the achievement of licking one! Fingers crossed taking a bite will come next x
