For years, I used to share what I received in my Birchbox beauty box every month but for some reason I stopped doing it. I don't know why because I still get them and still love them as much as ever! It is my little treat to myself each month, and I thought I would start sharing the contents with you again. So, if you'd like to know what I received in my December Birchbox then do read on!

Beauty Spot: December's Birchbox

For years, I used to share what I received in my Birchbox beauty box every month but for some reason I stopped doing it. I don't know why because I still get them and still love them as much as ever! It is my little treat to myself each month, and I thought I would start sharing the contents with you again. So, if you'd like to know what I received in my December Birchbox then do read on!

I have mentioned a few times about post-birth hair fall out. Since experiencing this after J’s birth I’ve been trying to be a lot more gentle and kind to my hair and scalp, to encourage new healthy regrowth.

I was recently contacted by Maple Holistics to see if I would like to try a shampoo and conditioner from their range. Maple Holistics are a US based beauty company producing natural, cruelty-free cosmetics with a holistic approach. Their range includes skincare, hair care and bath & body products which are created using only the purest and highest quality ingredients in order to enhance hygiene, health and daily living.

A week or so later an exciting package arrived containing their number 1 bestselling Argan Shampoo* and Silk18* conditioner for me to try. They are also providing a Shampoo and Conditioner for one lucky winner, you can find details of how to enter further down the post.

My April beauty box from Birchbox has arrived and it is so, so, SO good this month! Birchbox have collaborated with Tatler to create a limited edition box which is gorgeous and packed with five luxe beauty samples, plus an extra bonus product.

birchbox april beauty box uk contents

Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara (5.7g) Once again this month we had the option to choose which of the Laura Mercier products we’d like (out of mascara, foundation and eye pencil). I chose the mascara as it’s my must-have make-up item and I love to try new ones. Plus, I am always running out!
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (30ml) and muslin cloth  I do love this cleanser. I’m a bit of a product tart and always change up my routine. But this cleanser is one that I often come back to, especially as I like to double it up as a face masque.
Percy & Reed Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil (30ml) I am all about volumising products at the moment since getting my hair cut shorter. You only need 1 or 2 drops of this oil – which smells fricking amazing by the way – so this bottle will last ages!
Lola Barcelona Nail Polish in Garcia (8ml)  This hot fuschia shade has been created exclusively for Birchbox. I’ve never tried a Lola Barcelona polish before, but the shade is perfect for sunny spring days.
Pommade Divine Nature’s Remedy Balm (7ml)  Another brand that is totally new to me. I love multi-purpose balms; you always find one in my bag. They are so handy for chapped lips, dry cuticles, I even use them as nappy creams! This one is 97% natural, smells great and feels lovely.
Inner Me Energise Me Vitamins (28 day supply)  This is the bonus product and a perfect one for me! Running around after my two boys every day means I often forget to eat, or dont have time to eat well, so I do rely on supplements to make sure I’m getting all the vitamins my body needs. Especially vitamin D which is important for breastfeeding mothers.
I’m super happy with my Birchbox this month, I love everything, REALLY love it! Did you get a box this month? Did you get anything different? What do you think of it?

If you like the look of it and want to sign up, feel free to use my referral link: birchbox.co.uk/invite/SianG. You’ll get 50 Birchbox points, equivalent to £5! The box costs £10 per month plus p+p.

Birchbox teamed up with Habitat for their March edition to incentivise us to refresh things at home. The box is full of little treats to make you feel fabulous.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (3g) Last month I received an email from Birchbox offering me the chance to choose which of the three Benefit mascaras I wanted, of course I chose this one as it’s new and I have never tried it! The other choices were Bad Gal which I don’t like and They’re Real which I love, so I am excited to give this one a whirl and see how it rates.

Philip Kingsley Smooth Cream (20ml) I’m kicking myself for not updating my beauty profile as I recently had my hair chopped so Birchbox may have had another Philip Kingsley product that might suit my current hair better. I kind of feel that the Smooth Cream would have been great for my long hair but I’m not so sure it is going to be good for my hair now. I do love the Philip Kingsley range though so it certainly won’t go to waste!

Serenity Skincare Dead Sea Bath Salt (200g) These are 100% natural sea salts that can be used in the bath or massaged directly into the skin. Baths are a very rare luxury these days so these will make a great exfoliator in my daily shower instead.

Janjira Argan Oil Eye Cream I’m not sure how bit the sample is as the tube doesn’t say, at a guess it looks like it’s 5-10ml. It contains a nourishing blend of argan oil and shea butter to replenish the delicate eye area. Good timing as I am just about to finish my current eye cream!

Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris perfume The vial doesn't say how much it contains so I’d guess it’s about 2-5ml. It’s a really floral, fruity scent, not one I’d usually pick but I quite like it.

♥ Jotter ♥ I think this little pad is really sweet! It will be handy to have in my bag as I am forever scribbling notes on the back of receipts.

A Perfect Heritage by Penny Vincenzi (chapter sampler) I have read and enjoyed a few Penny Vincenzi novels over the years, they are very addictive so I am sure that once I have read this chapter I will be downloading the full book.

This month’s box is a real mixed bag, I think the Benefit mascara will be the favourite for many people. What do you think?

September birchbox

The theme of the September beauty box from Birchbox is Happy Days and it is filled with goodies to remind you of happy summer days. I’m delighted because quite a few of this month’s samples are perfect for my hospital bag!

Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream: This dinky pot is just ideal for going in my hospital bag! The cream is said to banish dark circles and smooth fine lines, so something I will definitely need after giving birth.

Korres Citrus Shower Gel: A generous mini bottle of this gorgeous and refreshing shower gel that has gone straight into my hospital bag. I’m wondering if it will double up as a shampoo as well, as Korres products tend to be quite gentle.

ModelCo Power Lash Mascara: Yep, you’ve guessed it, it’s in my hospital bag! I quite like ModelCo make-up and this promises intensely black, lengthened lashes.

Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Serum: I instantly thought of chocolate truffles, obviously that’s not what they meant! Offering protection from free radicals, improved skin firmness and a healthy glow, I’ll look forward to trying this out in my evening routine.

Agave Healing Oil Treatment: I love hair oils, although have never heard of this one. It’s a small sample but with oils a little usually goes a long way. I have popped it into my hospital bag!

Urban Fruit Magnificent Mango: Confession: I struggle to get Little N to eat fruit. However he LOVED these. So, I’m assuming they were delicious, I didn’t get a look in!

Happy Days Photo Clip: I thought this was a sweet little extra, I just need to choose a favourite photo to put in it.

I’m pretty happy with this month’s box, particularly as it has meant I have ticked off a few items from my hospital bag list! What do you think? If you like the look of it and want to sign up, please feel free to use my referral link: http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=674. You’ll get 50 Birchbox points, equivalent to £5! August Birchbox
Birchbox August Beauty Box

For their August beauty box Birchbox have put together samples to tide you over on your summer getaway.

Wild About Beauty Creme Eyeshadow: I received a full-sized sample of Matilda, a dark metallic which can be worn on its own or over powder eyeshadow for a more dramatic effect. This is the highlight of the box for me, the shade is perfect!

Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect: This is a leave-in conditioning spray which protects against heat and sun damage. It sounds ideal for using before blow drying.

Supergoop! CC Cream: I received two little tubes of this CC cream, a more lightweight version of a BB cream which acts as both a primer and a foundation. I don’t think I have ever tried a CC cream, I’m not usually drawn into the latest skincare fad, but I’m interested to see what it’s like.

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator: Such fancy words for an exfoliator! I love a good exfoliating cleanser so I was chuffed to see this in my box.

Nude ProGenius Omega Treatment Oil: A good oil is always a winner for me. This sounds fab, rich in omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9. I’m looking forward to using it.

The Proposal by Tamsina Perry: Don’t get too excited, it’s just the first chapter but I thought this was quite a cool and different lifestyle extra to receive.

I’m really pleased with this month’s box, especially the eyeshadow. What do you think? If you like the look of it and want to sign up, please feel free to use my referral link:http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=674. The box costs £10 per month plus p+p.
