The Gro Company
It's funny how different each of my babies have been. Noah needed to be fed to sleep, Jude liked to be cuddled to sleep, but Essie? Well, she is my little miss independent! She likes to be put down after a feed and she likes it to be dark and quiet, then she'll suck her thumb and drift off to sleep. It's amazing having a baby who barely seems to need me, when her brothers were so needy by comparison. I feel somewhat redundant!

One of the things I have struggled with the most with Essie recently is knowing what to dress her in to suit the temperature, especially at night. Both Noah and Jude were born in the autumn so it was easy to keep them warm, but keeping a baby cool in hot weather is an entirely different struggle! To start with, I used blankets at night time to keep Essie warm, but now the weather is much warmer we have been using a gorgeous Grobag that The Gro Company sent us to review, along with a Boppy the Bunny from the Gro Friends range of breathable baby toys.

With the clocks going forward this spring getting young children to adjust to the change can be somewhat tricky and a lot of parents struggle with getting their children to adjust. Even I struggle to adjust myself! Something that is also really common with toddlers and preschoolers is night waking and early risers. 5.30am isn't the time we want to be waking up despite what our children think!

A lot of my friends tell me their children wake up really early in the morning, but what Little N does is wake up randomly in the middle of the night. It's not something that has bothered me too much, but now he is 3 years old it would be great if I could get him to go back to sleep until morning without me having to resettle him, especially as I also get up to settle J in the night too. We've been putting the Gro-clock to the test over the past few weeks to see if this could help gently encourage him to sleep a little longer.

Little N has been in his own bedroom for over a year now however he often wakes up during the night. He is still so young after all. When he does wake up he is frightened because it is so dark. I have spent a long time trying to find a suitable nightlight for him as I thought this might help him to be less frightened. The Gro Company have created the Gro-light*, which is a simple, fantastic 2-in-1 adapter that turns the main light into a night light, so there is no need for a separate light.
