Days Out: Willows Activity Farm Easter Eggstravaganza 2018 + NEW Mr Tod's Lair

My children and I love our visits to Willows Activity Farm in Hertfordshire and were so egg-cited (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!) to be invited along last weekend to see what they've got planned for their Easter Eggstravaganza this year! The boys were SO excited; the "Peter Rabbit farm", as they call it, is one of their favourite places to go for a day out and they were counting down the days to our trip! Especially when we heard that new for 2018 Mr Tod will be taking residence at Willows with the introduction of Mr Tod’s Lair and the Super Secret Squirrel Nutkin Test.

Last weekend we were invited to a very special breakfast at Willows Activity Farm for a preview of the new features and Easter activities which run from 24th March - 15th April 2018. After Ian and I warmed up with several lattes and the children filled their bellies with pastries we headed down to see the brand new experiences for 2018: Mr Tod's Lair and the Super Secret Squirrel Nutkin Test. We were also greeted by the lovely Peter Rabbit and that sly old fox, Mr Tod!

Mr Tod's Lair is a new play area for children and has opened just in time for the Easter holidays! It has lots of secret entrances, plenty of hiding places and even a chimney lookout. The boys had a lot of fun exploring and investigating the lair, climbing through tunnels and down slides and posing for photos in Mr Tod's cooking pot!

Also new this year and just in time for Easter is the Super Secret Squirrel Nutkin Test. The course features lots of squirrel themed challenges involving climbing, balancing and jumping for children to try out and see if they can match the skills of Squirrel Nutkin. The Spin Test was the biggest hit with my two!

As well as these new experiences there is also an Easter egg hunt for children to take part in. Willows have set up a fantastic hunt area with lots of little decorated play houses, wheelbarrows and hay bales to look for eggs. It's fairly simple, they just need to find five different coloured eggs which they can exchange for some chocolate ones!

Willows have also got plenty of Easter themed arts and crafts to try, as well as shows, fun fair rides, inflatables, the Tractor Ride, acres of outdoor and under cover activities plus entry to the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground. And of course plenty of animals to see! There is so much to see and do at Willows that we always make a whole day of it; there are lots of places to stop for a bite to eat, plenty of toilets and baby changing areas, and there is a gift shop to buy a treat or souvenir on your way out.

You can purchase discounted Easter Eggstravaganza tickets online in advance at Willows Activity Farm. For more information, call 0870 129 9718, or like and follow @Willows_Farm on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news and updates.

With thanks to Willows Activity Farm for our complimentary visit.
