Beauty Spot: Introducing Wildling Box

I'm a sucker for a good subscription box, especially beauty boxes! Wildling Box is a new lifestyle subscription box with a difference. Wildling's founder, Leilah, wanted to come up with a way of raising awareness of the cruelty that animals suffer from around the world, along with helping people discover the best cruelty-free brands around. As a  beauty-obsessed vegan, this sounded perfect for me, and I was lucky to receive a Wildling Box to review.

With Wildling Box you can choose to subscribe to a 3, 6 or 9 month plan or order a box as a one-off, either for yourself or as a gift for someone else. It costs £29 for a one-off box and £25 per month to subscribe. Boxes are delivered monthly and each will contain 5-7 items carefully chosen from cruelty-free and vegan brands, including a cotton tee, tote or make-up badge printed with cruelty-free slogans. I couldn't wait to see what was inside the first ever box!

Beautifully wrapped in tissue paper inside a Wildling branded cardboard box were my vegan goodies for this month. Four full-size beauty treats - no tiny samples here! - plus a canvas tote bag and two cute button badges. Something I particularly love about subscription boxes is discovering new brands and products, and trying things that I might not have heard of otherwise. Out of the four beauty products in this month's box, three were totally new brands to me and one of them I am now totally in love with!

Skin & Tonic Gentle Scrub 50g

Well, isn't this a fun product to use! It is a detoxifying and nourishing facial exfoliator made with oat, rosehip and French pink clay. It can be mixed with water and used as a face scrub, or be mixed with yogurt and left on the skin for 10-15 minutes as a face mask. I'd never heard of this brand before, but this is a new favourite product! It's really mild and gentle enough to use each day but gives my skin a lovely glowing boost.

Miss Patisserie Watermelon Body Soufflé 200g

This rich but light body butter has a blend of rice bran oil and sweet almond oil so is rich in vitamins A, B and E as well as fatty acids, and deeply penetrates the skin to nourish and moisturise it from within. The whipped texture means it's absorbed quickly leaving my skin feeling soft, supple and lightly scented.

GlowHush Mini Bath Bomb

Baths are my favourite way to pamper myself! With three lively children to look after it's a rare treat to be able to relax in the tub uninterrupted so when I do get the chance to have a soak I love to fill the bath with gorgeous salts, bubbles and bombs. This little bath bomb has a creamy sweet scent, a bit like vanilla, and the little sprinkles on the top make me think of cake! Cake in the bath, now there's an idea...

LuckyCloud Skincare Coconut Lip Butter 10ml

Another brand that is new to me, LuckyCloud Skincare is a luxurious botanical skincare range crafted in Scotland from plant-based ingredients. This lip butter is enriched with coconut and cocoa butters, and sweet almond, thistle and vitamin E oils to soften, heal and protect lips. I love the metal packaging and the brand name is just brilliant. I'll definitely be checking out their other products, they've got some amazing looking face oils and balms.

Cruelty-Free Tote Bag and Button Badges

Each month the boxes will contain a custom printed fashion accessory of some kind, such as a tee, cap, bag or badges. My Wildling Box came with a canvas tote bag with "the future is cruelty-free" printed on it along with two "against animal cruelty" button badges. I love canvas tote bags; as a busy mum they're SO useful, but they're also so much better for the environment than plastic bags. The little button badges are super cute, I've put one on my bag and I'm going to give the other to my Nanna!

The total RRP of the beauty products comes to £30.75, plus you get some brilliant fashion accessories too, so at £25 per month Wildling Box is good value for money, especially as shipping is free to the UK. Sure, it's pricier than other subscription boxes, but the products are ALL full-size rather than the sample sizes that other beauty boxes offer, so it is definitely worth it. The variety of products is great and I love that you get an accessory as well. If you're looking for a cruelty-free monthly beauty box, then Wildling Box could be the one for you!

With thanks to Wildling Box Co for sending a box to review.
