Review: Graco Milestone All-in-One Car Seat

Back in June I announced that I was teaming up with Graco as one of their UK Generation Graco bloggers for 2017. At the launch event for the campaign I got to learn more about Graco's 60 year history, as well as take a peek at some of the products I'd be trying out.

One of those products is the Graco Milestone All-in-One Car Seat. I'm sure you know that Graco is renowned for its tradition of innovation with baby products that offer solutions for the real world of parenting - and the Milestone is the perfect example of that! This convertible car seat can be used from birth up to 36 kg (around 12 years old), making it the only car seat parents will ever need.

The car seat is installed with the belt and has three different riding modes which it easily converts to and from:

- rear facing infant harness seat - Group 0+ (0-13kg)
- forward facing harness seat - Group 1 (9-18kg)
- highback booster seat - Group 2/3 (15-36kg)

The three riding modes are perfect for my family's needs as I have a six month old, a three year old and an almost five year old. I found it really easy to follow the installation instructions and to change the seat around; there are coloured markers to guide the belt ensuring correct installation and that I had a solid and stable fit each time.

Just like the SnugRide car seat I featured a couple of months ago, the Milestone has been designed with comfort in mind. It has four recline positions in total: two rear facing positions and two forward facing positions, so my children will be comfortable on long journeys or if they fall asleep - which happens nearly every journey no matter how short!

The plush fabrics and inserts keep Essie cocooned and they are easily removed for when she is older or if the boys use the seat. The machine washable seat padding simply slides in and out as needed without having to remove the harness and the headrest can be adjusted with one hand, moving the harness height with up and down with it automatically. There are ten headrest positions so it's easy to find the most comfy height. Not only is this useful for me when using the seat for a different child, it also means it's easy to adjust as they are growing.

The Milestone has a modular cupholder which clips on and off easily. I tend to avoid letting the children have drinks in the car as they inevitably spill them, but it is a really good feature and especially great for long journeys as they will be able to keep a drink close by instead of me having to pass them one. For now though, they can use it to store their toys and sunglasses!

Graco put safety at the core of all products and every car seat, pushchair and home item is rigorously tested giving to give peace of mind to parents. The Milestone has side impact protection in the headrest to ensure that children are always safe and secure, and a durable, steel reinforced frame built into the seat provides added safety.

It's easy to see why Graco Milestone is the leading all-in-one car seat on the market - it's comfortable, well-designed, easy to use and gives parents reassurance that their little one is always safe! It is available in three colour options: Aluminium (which is what I have), Blush, Extreme Black and retails at £220.
