Happy Days: School, Birthday Plans & Good TV

Welcome to Happy Days!  Katy and I host this linky with the purpose of inspiring you to make the most of each day, no matter what you've been up to, and to find happiness in every day. It's where I share the little moments that have brought me joy.

I've been running around like a headless chicken this week sorting things out with my car after the accident, along with the boys starting school and preschool. Thank goodness for the weekend!

So here's what has made me happy

• School! Noah started reception and Jude has started preschool. I know it's a cliché but it feels like weeks ago that they were both born, how can they possibly be starting school. Especially Noah, my little special care baby, I am so proud of him. We had a few tears on his first full day, but he was all smiles when I collected him at the end of the day.

• Time with Essie. Now I have a couple of mornings a week where I am just with Essie for a few hours, so now we can spend some quality time together. I took her to a parent and baby swim session at our local pool and she thoroughly enjoyed it! Still hates the bath though!

• Temporary wheels. Obviously I would rather not have crashed my car at all, but I've got a nice courtesy car while mine is being repaired, a Vauxhall Mokka, and it's a lovely drive! It's a lot smaller than my car though so fitting all the grocery shopping in was a challenge this week.

• Birthday planning. Ian and Jude both have birthdays this month so I have been looking for gift ideas and thinking about what to do for Jude's party. I think we are going to book the local soft play for him and his little friends. He is so excited, it's the first year that he understands what a birthday actually is!

• Doctor Foster. How good was the first episode?! I can't wait for next week to see what she has got planned. And it's filmed in my hometown, I love trying to spot the familiar places!
.....

This weekend I just have a few errands to run in town as I keep missing the postman so have parcels waiting for me and I need to return the children's library books. So it is going to be a relaxed one here!

What are you up to this weekend?

  5. I'm glad the boys have settled in, it must be nice getting a bit of one on one time with Essie now. Good luck with all the last planning. And you have just reminded me about library books. We have renewed this last set so many times I have no idea what date they're due back, I can almost guarantee it was yesterday 😬
