Baby Loves: The Little Green Sheep Wild Cotton Collection

With each of my babies I have developed a fondness for a particular animal and have sought out themed clothes and nursery items; with Noah it was whales and all things nautical, with Jude it was foxes, and with Essie it is rabbits. As soon as I knew she was a girl I became drawn to things with bunnies on, and actually it was the sweet illustrated rabbits on the Wild Cotton collection from The Little Green Sheep that caught my eye and started the bunny obsession!

Just before my due date, The Little Green Sheep sent me a crib bedding set from their new organic baby range to review. There are two themes in this woodland-inspired collection of bedding and sleepwear: grey melange featuring bears and soft mint featuring little rabbits. Of course, I chose the soft mint rabbits! The collection includes bed sheets, blankets, sleepsuits, sleeping bags, bedding sets and baby gift sets, all made out of super soft GOTS certified organic brushed cotton. The Little Green Sheep are supporting the Woodland Trust, with 25p of every item sold from the Wild Cotton range going towards protecting, restoring and creating woodland in the UK.

The crib bedding set includes two fitted crib sheets and one sumptuously soft blanket. One of the crib sheets has illustrations of acorns and oak leaves and the other has darling little bunny rabbits, the blanket features a bigger version of the same rabbit print. The fitted sheets measure 35 x 80cm (min.) – 45 x 90cm (max.) and the blanket measures 75 x 75cm. Essie has a SnuzPod which I'll be sharing a review of soon, and the bedding set fits it perfectly. Both the sheets and the blanket are machine washable and can be tumble dried. I don't have a tumble drier (I wish I did though!) but have washed the sheets and blanket a few times now and they come out perfectly. There is no shrinkage like you can sometimes experience with cotton and they have held their shape.

The illustrations are simply beautiful! I love them so much that I even asked my sister-in-law, an amazing artist, to do me some rabbit sketches to match so that I could frame them for her part of our bedroom. The brushed cotton is so soft it has an almost buttery feel to it, perfect for putting next to the delicate skin of a newborn. The rabbit blanket has become Essie's favoured one, especially when we are going out and I want to keep her covered in her pram. It's just so pretty!

The Little Green Sheep Wild Cotton Bedding Set costs £44.95 and you can find it here.

What do you prefer, the rabbits or the bears?

With thanks to The Little Green Sheep for sending us the bedding set to review.
