Days Out: Fun at the Willows Farm Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground anniversary party!

Today has been a really fun day. The boys had two parties to attend today: one for their friend's 5th birthday and the other to celebrate the one year anniversary of the opening of the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground at Willows Activity Farm in Hertfordshire! Willows, or the "Peter Rabbit farm" as Noah calls it, is one of the boys' absolute favourite places to visit and every time we go there is always something new to see.

Our visit today was extra special, as Willows Farm had organised a fun-filled day for us and some other bloggers and their families. We started the day off with a visit to the Peter Rabbit Theatre to watch a live performance starring Peter Rabbit, Lily Bobtail and Benjamin Bunny. There was a lot of singing and dancing and the audience could get involved. Noah is quite shy and stayed sitting with me and Ian, but Jude was straight down to the front where he danced his socks off!

Once the show was over, we then had our very own meet and greet with Peter and his friends which made the boys' year. I had to practically drag them off the stage so that the other children could have the chance to say hello too!

Willows had prepared a special birthday tea party for us all after the show, with sandwiches, Peter Rabbit themed cakes and lots of radishes - Peter Rabbit's favourite food! Ever-sociable Jude got stuck right in and sat at the table with the other children to enjoy lots of party food, while Noah hid round the corner by himself eating party rings. And of course no party is complete without a party bag and a balloon!

After the birthday party was over we headed around to the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground to explore and play. This was the part that Noah had been looking forward to all day! He absolutely loves it and would spend the whole day there if he could. The radish patch is his favourite part and Jude enjoyed playing with the radishes too. You can read more about the Adventure Playground in this post.

To find out more about Willows Activity Farm and the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground head to the Willows website where you can get discounts on entry if you book in advance. There are always lots of fun seasonal activities happening, with the Easter Extravaganza their next event coming up in April! We hope to go back for that, but of course that will depend on whether this baby has arrived or not!

  23. My daughter would be straight up on that stage. She's unsure what sound a rabbit makes though.
