It's funny that the last time I wore a bodycon style dress must have been about five years ago at least, and I've not been brave enough to wear one since. This pregnancy has given me so much body confidence though. I don't know if it's because I know this is my last baby or because I'm just proud of this little life growing inside me, but I have loved wearing clothes that show off my growing bump.

At 30 weeks pregnant my little Pip is about the size of a cantaloupe melon. She (yes, it's a girl!) is nearly 17 inches long and weighs around 3.5lbs. Here's what's been going on during my 30th week of pregnancy with baby number three.

As I get closer to my due date I am starting to get things ready for when the baby comes. I have the most gorgeous new changing bag from PacaPod in one of their new spring 2017 colours; it is the Richmond bag in dusky pink herringbone and it's so pretty! PacaPod changing bags are actually three bags in one and they're rather cleverly designed! I have been saving it for when the baby is actually here as it will just end up being full of the boys' toys and snacks if I start using it now, but I thought I would give you a closer look as a lot of people have been curious to know how more about it.

2016 was all about hygge, the Danish concept of calm, cosiness and simplicity, and it was something I embraced over the winter months. Snuggling up with blankets, candles and hot chocolate just seemed sheer bliss. For 2017 though, a new Scandinavian trend is sweeping over us Brits: lagom.

Lagom comes from Sweden and is more of an ethos, rather than just being about blissful moments. It's about finding balance: about not having too much or too little, but having just the right amount in life. Rather than finding time to squeeze a bit of lagom into your day, it's about finding balance in your whole life and with the world around us, making it more enjoyable, more sustainable and less expensive.

When I was little I used to get ill a lot. I was diagnosed with asthma from a very young age and it meant that something like the common cold could really take it out of me. I remember the feeling of my mum rubbing Vicks VapoRub onto my chest and back to help me breathe more easily at night-time. I loved the comforting touch, and would often fall asleep as she did it. If I was off school due to illness all I ever wanted to do was be cuddled and snuggled under a cosy blanket on the sofa. I wanted my mum to comfort me and stroke my hair. I wanted to be looked after.

How I soothe the children when they are unwell...

Right at the end of last year the boys and I headed to our favourite woodland area here in beautiful north Hertfordshire, armed with a gorgeous feather-filled balloon kindly sent to us by The Feather Balloon Company, to do something very special: the gender reveal! We made a little video which caused a lot of happy tears among you lovely readers, and I promised to show you some of the photos we'd taken as well. With Christmas, New Year, general pregnancy woes and a new laptop to transfer all my images over to, I've only just got around to it! But here they finally are, I do hope you love them as much as I do!

Don't you just love surprises? I do, but only when it's a proper surprise. When Ian says "I've got you something, but you'll have to wait and see" it drives me potty, I need to know, and I pester him until he tells me. But when you get something unexpected, well that I love! Back in my 16 week pregnancy update I mentioned that I had been getting a bit of an achey back and hips, so imagine my delight when a care package arrived from Deep Freeze with some goodies and gifts to help me through my pregnancy.

Coping with back ache during pregnancy - and a surprise gift!
