I'm absolutely obsessed with detective dramas at the moment: Undercover, Line of Duty and Marcella have all got me gripped to the edge of my sofa so Susie Steiner's second novel, Missing, Presumed, is the perfect book for me to hunker down and get stuck into. Cambridge post-grad Edith Hind has disappeared and Detective Sergeant Manon Bradshaw knows that the first 72 hours are crucial. A body is discovered, but is this the end of the story, or just the beginning?

This month the Bostik Blogger craft box had a garden/mini beast theme to it, and once again I've come up with a really easy craft idea that any toddler or preschooler will be able to do. My three- and one-year olds enjoyed the sticking of the mini beasts to the labels and it was really quick to do. Best of all, it's totally mess-free!

Isn't the weather just crazy at the moment? Yesterday we had rain, snow and sunshine all in one day! The boys and I have been enjoying being outdoors after a winter of being cooped up from the cold. To protect us from the April showers we've got some lovely outerwear from new Belfast-based clothing brand, Lighthouse. With a gorgeous coat for me, jacket for Little N and puddlesuit for J, there is no stopping us having lots of fun outdoors this spring!

Hannah from Budding Smiles recently tagged me to share the things that bug me about blogs. You can read about her her top 10 blog peeves here. I've always loved reading blogs, even before I became a blogger myself. There are a handful of things that do induce a massive eye-roll from me when I see them though, so here they are.

I always think we are really lucky to live where we do. Besides being a lovely town with fantastic schools, there are just so many things for children to do locally. We are never, ever bored as there is always somewhere to go or something to see. On Friday we headed to Willows Activity Farm in St Albans with some friends and their children to check out their Peter Rabbit Holiday Hop programme which is running between 2nd-17th April. They have recently opened their incredible new Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground so we were really excited to see what it was like.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly my children grow out of clothes and shoes. One minute everything fits perfectly fine and the next, they look like little giants trying to squeeze into their outfits. I was never in a rush to get J into shoes and waited until he was wanting to walk outside before getting him his first pair, as I know that being barefoot is best for developing feet. Now that he is such an active 18-month old and is always running, jumping, climbing it was time to get him shoes to designed for this stage, and the Bobux Blaze shoes from their Play range looked perfect.

As most of you know I'm a cloth bum mum and love reusable nappies. Ian has never liked the idea of cloth nappies though, refusing to even try them, so we have always had disposable nappies as well. He's not getting out of nappy changes that easily! And sometimes disposable nappies are more convenient, like when we go on holiday. Recently I've heard people talking about Japanese brands of nappies like Moony, Merries and Goo.n, and was curious as to why they were so popular. Japanese Nappies have recently brought these brands to the UK and offered to send me some Moony nappies to review. They are also offering the chance for you to win some Japanese nappies for yourself!

As I write this it is absolutely pouring with rain; a typically British start to the spring months! Warmer, sunnier days are just around the corner and I've been planning my spring and summer wardrobe. I love stripes, seriously love them, so I'm super happy that stripes are a big trend for spring /summer 2016.

I absolutely love reading birth stories as every experience is so unique, and after sharing my own two very different birth experiences [emergency c-section and natural VBAC] I decided to ask other mums and dads to share their beautiful birth stories with me, too. If you’d like to share your birth story, send me an email or get in touch via Twitter or Facebook.

Like me, Kelly from NatureMumBlog also had two totally different birth experiences: her first baby was born at just 30 weeks by emergency c-section after she developed pre-eclampsia. Her second birth experience was an amazing VBAC and in this post she is sharing her story.

I've been trying to find messy play activities that I can set up quickly and that will keep my 3 year old and 1 year old happy on rainy days. I'd heard of cloud dough before, having seen it at a local messy play group we go to. It's a simple oil and flour mix that is mouldable like wet sand but has a fairly dry consistency. J still likes to shove everything in his mouth so I needed a toddler-safe alternative. This version of cloud dough is made with edible ingredients so it's perfectly safe if he does decide to eat some! Little N has a lovely new Messy Apron from Messy Me to protect his clothes during our messy play sessions which we'll show you, too!

You might remember last month I reviewed a reusable cloth nappy from Tickle Tots and was fawning over how gorgeous their prints are, especially the chevrons. This month I'm really pleased to show you one of the nappy wet bags from their new range, which also come in the same great prints as the Tickle Tots nappies and have lots of great features that make them a lot more useful than many of the other wet bags I've seen.
