Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil

If you get a group of pregnant women together, one of the topics that inevitably comes up is stretchmarks and, more specifically, how to prevent them. Whilst a lot of people say there is nothing you can to stop them, I do feel that using good quality products can lessen the severity and, as in my last pregnancy, prevent them completely.

Clarins Body Tonic Treatment Oil
I have several different oils, balms and creams on the go at the moment but my absolute favourite is Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil. It was recommended to me by the fabulous Caroline Hirons when I was pregnant with Little N. I massaged my growing tummy every morning and night with this delicious oil and by the end of my pregnancy I had not one single stretchmark.

It contains 100% pure plant oils – no mineral oils here unlike some other popular brands - to prevent dehydration, tone and hydrate the skin, and eliminate toxins. It helps to strengthen and firm skin tissue and improve natural elasticity so it is perfect for using during and after pregnancy. It smells fantastic too; with essential oils of rosemary, geranium and mint it is such an uplifting and energising scent and really helps to perk me up when I’m feeling tired in the morning. Massaging it into my tummy feels absolutely lovely, it’s relieves the itchiness that comes as it gets bigger and the oil leaves my skin feeling soft without being greasy so I can pop my clothes on straight away.

The oil costs £39.00 for 100ml although if you shop around online you will find it a few pounds cheaper. Luckily for me my mother-in-law-to-be bought me a bottle for my birthday!

  1. Nice post!
I like the 100% pure plant oil of Clarins (body or face actually)...A cheaper alternative would be Weleda. Have your tried?

    1. I'm not sure how good it would be at reducing ones you already have but certainly should help prevent any further ones x

  7. Thanks for recommending this product. Clarins Stretch mark control works for me too. My stretch marks are almost gone but of course I made sure to be hydrated and well nourished when I was pregnant.

  9. Sounds perfect, I could do with some post-pregnancy too, I never found anything I really loved when pregnant and it never encouraged me to use it. Anything recommended by Caroline is sure to be a winner! xx
